Marriage Enrichment Weekend
An annual event.
Where? The marriage weekend is held at Lakeland Park Camp, 496 Peninsula Road, Kelvin Heights, Queenstown.
What’s the Marriage Weekend? It’s time designed to give you as a couple, the opportunity to get away together and concentrate on your relationship. The main emphasis is on strengthening communications as a means of building greater acceptance and understanding in your love.
Who is the weekend for? It’s for any couple who want to continue to grow no matter how good it is. All ages will find the weekend of value – from newlyweds to grandparents.
What happens on the Marriage Weekend? The weekend consists of a series of presentations on a variety of topics relating to communications in marriage. A team of 3 to 4 couples like yourselves present a technique of communication that has helped them. After each presentation you will have time in the privacy of your own room for your personal sharing. You are given suggestions on how to use your time. At no time will you be asked to share experiences with other attendees.
What does the weekend cost? Each couple will be given a blank envelope at the conclusion of the weekend and asked to make a donation. There is some funding available so that no one is refused the opportunity to participate because of lack of finance. We expect that $200 would cover the cost for each couple. This includes meals, accommodation, stationary etc.
Date/Time FOR NEXT year to be advised so watch this space.
We went to a Marriage Weekend “It was wonderful to have a weekend structured to enable us to share so deeply.” “It was one thing to discover each other again on the weekend but more fabulous to realise that what we had discovered was going to change each day of our lives.”
